How About That Thing?

In the beginning, when I set this site up, the plan was to take November off. Originally, this was because I wanted to do NaNoWriMo… Except we’re all still pissed about NaNoWriMo allowing AI authors, and NaNoWriMo themselves have pretty much decided they’re nice and cozy in their six foot hole they dug themselves in. So now what?

Well, I actually do have other writing projects I’ve been meaning to start and/or finish, regardless of whether or not it’s November. Nothing that really relates to what I’m doing here.

Also… Not going to lie, I just need a break. Like, a serious break.

Make no mistake, I enjoy writing for this site. I feel like it’s gotten a lot of the monkeys that have been on my back for years and years a chance to hop off and bother someone else. Has every article I’ve written been a smash hit? no, not really. One or two of the misses have even felt a little soul-crushing in one regard or another. But even if it didn’t appeal to the general public, I’m really just glad to finally have a lot of these ideas out of my head, and available to the public in some way shape or form.

There have been hits, like the Pacman and the Ghostly Adventures article, and the Sims Bustin Out article; and there have been misses, like just about every professional wrestling article I’ve ever written. There have even been a couple of scheduling glitches, like the article on an episode of Hellsing and the article about G4TV’s Portal going live on the same day instead of one going live one week and the other going live next week. Yeah, I’m still mortified about that one myself, but I digress. Writing for this website for the last two years has been a real blast, and I definitely plan on continuing it in 2026.

But holy shit, dude, I need a break! Like I said: I have other projects I want to work on and finish. Also, being a stay-at-home dad means I don’t exactly have the free time I used to. Another reason why my little surplus of articles ran out two weeks early.

Once 2026 is here, I promise I’ll resume this site. For now, I’m taking the rest of 2025 off. Hopefully, this isn’t a bummer for you, Dear Reader.

I’ll see you in January. Till then, happy Thanksgiving, happy holidays, and keep on kicking ass.
